Road and track options

The AIM MXS 1.3 TFT 5" is a highly versatile dashboard / data logger with a host of features that have allowed us to create some 'Plug n Play' kits for bikes that have previously been impossible.

Specifically the older Ducati Superbike applications from the 749/999 through to the 848, 1098, 1198 which use the standard dashboard as an ECU input module for certain very important sensor inputs.

The versatile CAN structure of the MXL2 coupled with a Microtec M197 ECU** means we can bring these bikes fully up to date. 

These kits are not designed for bikes which have the standard or Ducati DP ECU as we rely on the second CAN line of the Microtec M197 to gather additional data into the dashboard.

The road bike version has these additional features over the 'track version'

• Control of the lights relay and main beam dash warning LED
• Turn signal controls and dash flashing LED
• Side stand warning if used when engine is running
• Fuel level alarm

ECU - Microtec M197. Unless you already have one of these ECU's you will need to add this as a kit option via the pull down list above.

For users who already own an M197 you must enable the standard CAN stream via the Configuration page of the Microtec software.

ECUs are supplied pre-programmed with a standard Microtec library mapping

Kit features of all kits:

• Fully Plug N Play - No re-wiring of any kind with versions

• Supplied with all extra sensors needed for the ECU
• Additional expansion connector for Fork, Shock and brake pressure sensors (not supplied in this kit), ask for details on these add-ons as they are not part of our standard design. 
• GPS for lap timing and predictive lap data
• Data download into Race Studio 2 analysis software
• Alarms for battery level, oil pressure, water temperature and Neutral as well as multiple shift lights
• Fully re-programmable to allow for user adjustments
• Download by USB or WiFi
• Compatible with the AIM video system

• Plug and play wiring to suit a standard bike loom
• Dashboard mounting bracket to suit a standard mount
• AIM MXS 1.3 logging dash - Fully pre-programmed

Kit options:

• Microtec ECU + Programming cable + CAN link cable
• Road bike option which has additional electronics, wiring and programming

Notes:

• Microtec M197 ECU is not included in this kit unless chosen via the pull down menu.
• Due to the location of the MXS dashboard connectors it will be necessary to make some physical modifications to the standard or aftermarket fairing support brackets. Details are available
• This kit may be applied on road bikes where the dash also controls the turn signals and headlights. Use the options above to select these extra functions.
